Bulldogs add Florida DE Harris
Just because Mississippi State is not scheduled to play this weekend does not mean the Bulldogs won't be celebrating.
MSU picked up the 22nd member of its 2011 recruiting class on Friday afternoon when Boynton Beach, Fla., defensive end Johnathan Harris gave his commitment.
"Mississippi State is a real good choice for me right now," Harris said. "I've got family up there and the weather ain't too bad for me. It just seems like a good school."
Harris had narrowed his list of offers down to three and chose the Bulldogs over finalists Boston College and Central Florida, both of whom he took official visits to in October. He announced his decision in a prerecorded segment on local television station WPTV NewsChannel 5 in West Palm Beach at 5:20 p.m. and also announced simultaneously at Tiger Stadium before his game tonight against Spanish River.
