After two games in the friendly confines of Davis Wade Stadium, Mississippi State will venture out on the road for the first time this season.
The Bulldogs will travel down to one of the most unwelcoming venues in all of college football, LSU's Tiger Stadium which is aptly known as 'Death Valley'. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m.
MSU came within inches of downing the Tigers last season in Starkville. But the Tigers goal line stand with time winding down was enough to leave with a 30-26 win. State outgained the Tigers 374-263 on that day but turned the ball over four times which ultimately was too much to overcome.
LSU has dominated the series winning 10-straight games outscoring the Bulldogs 404-131 during that span. Mississippi State has not won at Tiger Stadium since 1992 as LSU holds a 45-18-1 record in contests played there. The Tigers also have the commanding edge in the overall series 67-33-3.
MSU(1-1, 0-1) is coming off a heartbreaking17-14 loss to Auburn last week. The Bulldogs are averaging 407.5 yards and 31.5 points per game offensively. They are picking up 250.5 passing and another 157 yards on the ground through the first two games.
