Keeping it clean
Oklahoma State went from a waxing of BCS-conference opponent Washington State to a 3-point win over a non-BCS opponent in a span of a week. That can be an example of the parity in college football. In OSU's specific case, it was more a matter of not playing a clean game. Last Saturday, the Cowboys had five more turnovers and eight more penalties than the season-opener.
