Will Mississippi State make Harris' cut?
Johnathan Harris is one of the most coveted prospects in the state of Florida with over 20 scholarship offers.
The 6-foot-6, 230-pound defensive end recently narrowed his list down to 10 and will soon cut it in half again.
Mississippi State, Central Florida, Miami, South Carolina, Boston College, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Navy, Illinois and Kansas State remain the top contenders for his signature but there could be some new schools that emerge in his Top 5.
"I'm starting to narrow things down," Harris said. "I'll have my Top 5 by the beginning of school. I'm going to wait a couple more weeks to announce but some of the teams that are not in my Top 10 will make it into my Top 5."
Harris wants to have his list made by the fall so he can begin taking his official visits because he is scheduled to graduate early in December.
"It's really important to get out and see these schools because I've got to make a move pretty soon since I'm graduating early," Harris said. "I need to make up my Top 5 so I can take my official visits and have my correct choices."
The Boynton Beach native does not have any official visits lined up to date but stated that Mississippi State was the only place he knew of right now that he would almost certainly visit.
