Tuesday evening Itawamba Community College standout Darius Slay informed BulldogBlitz that he planned to recommit to Mississippi State before the season.

The 6-foot-1, 193-pounder, who originally signed with the Bulldogs in 2009, made his decision on Thursday morning.

"I know that I committed to them out of high school and I want to stay true to my commitment. They have stuck with me too."

Slay was a two-star rated wide receiver out of Brunswick, Ga., when MSU signed him but did not qualify academically. He spent last season at the Fulton, Miss., based junior college and had a banner year.
