San Antonio (Texas) MacArthur tight end Jace Amaro had a whirlwind trip across his home state this past weekend. The 6-foot-5, 235-pound junior took an unofficial visit to Lubbock to check out Texas Tech on Saturday and then he and his parents drove Sunday morning to College Station for another unofficial visit to Texas A&M, his second of the year.

Amaro's father played at Tech early in the 1980's and Amaro himself had been to the South Plains for a couple of games last season. However, this was the first time that he had been on the Red Raiders' campus in 2010.
