The development at the cornerback position will be a key focus this spring for new defensive backs coach Willie Martinez. The Sooners must replace two starters at the cornerback position following the departures of Brian Jackson and Dom Franks.

One player who is expected to fill one of those spots is sophomore Demontre Hurst.
