Bruins Face Bears in Pac-10 Semi-Final
The UCLA Bruins (15-17) will face the California Bears (22-9) on Friday evening at 6:18 in the semi-final round of the Pac-10 Tournament at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles. The No. 5 seeded Bruins defeated Arizona 75-69 on Thursday afternoon while the number one seeded Bears routed a tired Oregon team 90-74 in the second game.
The Bears were nothing short of spectacular in their win over Oregon. They shot over 54 percent for the game and nailed 11 three pointers. The Bears' Pac-10 Player of the Year Jerome Randle had an unbelievable first half, going 8 for 8 from the field, including what appeared to be about a 28 foot shot off the dribble. Randle ended up with 22 points while his teammate, 6-3 senior guard Patrick Christopher, had 21.
