On the first day of spring practice Southern Miss head coach and Larry Fedora and his staff received another bit of good news when University Christian (Flowood, Miss.) defensive end Michael Brinson committed to the Eagles. A number of analysts consider Brinson to be the state's top defensive end prospect in the class of 2011.
