Prior to this past weekend, the only time that San Antonio MacArthur tight end Jace Amaro had ever seen the Texas A&M campus was two years ago when he attended a game at Kyle Field. As a result, when A&M started showing interest in him recently by offering him a scholarship, he really didn't know much about the Aggies or the A&M football program.

However, his visit to A&M Sunday for an A&M junior day was something of a surprise for the 6-foot-5, 235-pound Amaro.

Amaro has scholarship offers from Texas A&M, Duke, Baylor, Texas Tech and Rice.
