Maybe it's because he's played for a small school in rural St. Helena Parish. Or possibly it's because his team has played in a total of one playoff game during the course of his career.

When it comes to the state's talent-rich Class of 2011 there are more recognizable names than Ryan Byrd of St. Helena Central but none arguably more talented and filled with such tremendous promise.
