Toughness will be key against KSU
Heading to Manhattan, Kan., on Saturday to face No. 11 Kansas State (17-3; 4-3), the stakes couldn't be any higher for Bill Self and No. 2 ranked Kansas (19-1; 5-0). Aside from regaining their spot atop the polls, the Jayhawks would take a giant step forward in winning their sixth straight Big 12 regular season conference championship. KU has played in some difficult environments this season, but none will be as challenging or hostile as the environment inside Bramlage Coliseum on Saturday night.
Should Kansas defeat Kansas State in Manhattan for the second straight year, it wouldn't be a stretch to call it the biggest regular season victory of the year. A win in the Little Apple would improve the Jayhawks to 6-0 in conference play.
