Lewis coming to visit the family
Over the summer, Tylertown, Miss., athlete Jameon Lewis decided to become part of the Bulldog family.
And it was that family atmosphere that was the deciding factor in why Lewis chose Mississippi State. The three-star talent will officially visit his future school this weekend.
"I really don't know what all I am going to do," Lewis said. "I know one night we are going to Coach Mullen's house and have dinner over there. He told me that he wants us over at his house because we are family. He watched the national championship down here with me and he said there were guys coming by his house to watch the game with his wife on the big screen."
Lewis, also known by his childhood nickname "Tubby", has made several trips to Starkville over the past few months and loves how he has been embraced by the entire program.
"I just like how Coach Mullen and everybody there comes up and greets you like family," Lewis said. "I don't even have to have my nametag on because people walk up to me at the game and even the players after the game already know me and talk to me."
The 5-foot-9, 175-pounder received an in-home visit from Mullen and Tony Hughes last Thursday during the BCS National Championship game.
