Two Auburn coaches, including head coach Gene Chizik, made an off-campus visit Thursday to talk to one of the Tigers' top in-state commitments.

Lincoln (Ala.) athlete D.J. Howard, committed to Auburn since July, hosted Chizik and lead recruiter Tommy Thigpen.

"They came to the school and went to my house, too," he said. "It went good. We talked about a lot of things; where I stand with them, where they stand with me. Me and Coach 'Thig' have a good friendship.
