AU balancing fun and focus this week
Work in the morning, fun in the afternoon and evenings. It's a simple strategy that head coach Gene Chizik is using to balance Auburn's players time as they prepare for Friday's matchup with Northwestern and enjoy all the Outback Bowl festivities.
The strategy seems to be working just fine so far.
"Practice is going well. Everybody is into it," junior linebacker Josh Bynes said. "A lot of guys say it's hard to focus because it's a bowl game -- all the things we've got going on. In meetings, everybody's into it.
"We're having a great time, but at the same time we're working hard on being a good team."
The Tigers have practiced three straight mornings at the University of Tampa and Chizik senses his players are getting closer to gameday.
