Dyer helping Tigers on recruiting trail
No disrespect to Curtis Luper, but Auburn might have found its new lead recruiter.
Tailback Michael Dyer had already committed to Auburn when he made his trip this weekend. He spent his official visit trying to bring potential teammates aboard with him - especially those that can open running lanes.
Dyer joked that he might even be a better recruiter than Trooper Taylor. The Little Rock (Ark.) Christian back already helped the Tigers land a commitment from high school teammate Dakota Moseley.
"I might be the No. 1 recruiter for Auburn," Dyer said. "I'm trying to bring in some big linemen - 6-6, 6-7 - I'm trying to get them on board so we can open up some holes and run."
Unlike coaches, Dyer is allowed to talk about specific targets.
So who's No. 1 on his list? Offensive lineman James Stone, who made an unofficial visit this weekend.
