Offense strikes with big plays
Alabama's defense has been dominating SEC offenses this fall.
Before Friday's Iron Bowl, the Tide had given up just six touchdowns in seven conference games. They'd allowed just two plays of 50 or more yards.
But Auburn struck for three touchdowns against the nation's No.1 ranked defense including two long ones -- a 67-yard run by Terrell Zachery and a 72-yard pass from Chris Todd to Darvin Adams.
"We didn't want to leave anything out there," AU offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn said. "We wanted to give our guys the best chance of winning, try to be aggressive so early on we did."
Zachery's TD came on AU's fourth offensive play of the game. The junior took an end around and ran away from the Tide defense to give AU an early 7-0 lead.
