Vols land big fish in James
Tennessee has steadily been putting together one of the top recruiting classes in the nation since snagging their first commitment of the 2010 class in February, but offensive line has remained a position of need. That need went a long way towards being filled on Tuesday night when Georgia's Jawuan James verbally committed to Tennessee.
James (6-foot-6, 293 pounds) from North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, Ga. ended a hotly contested recruitment when he notified the Tennessee staff on Tuesday that he had picked the Vols.
"It just the right fit all the way around for me, there wasn't just any one thing that put Tennessee over the top, it was a lot of things," James said of his commitment. "I felt like it was the right place for me from the coaching staff to the offensive system they run."
