Zachery making big plays for Auburn
In 12 games last season, Auburn managed just three plays of more than 50 yards.
The Tigers already have seven through six games this year including three from receiver Terrell Zachery.
Zachery's 93-yard TD reception against Louisiana Tech is the longest play in Auburn history.
"Anytime Terrell touches the ball he can make a big play,' said receiver Darvin Adams, who leads the team with 25 receptions and five touchdowns. "He's got nice moves and he's pretty fast. People don't think he's fast but he can run."
Zachery came to Auburn from Wadley High School in 2006 with a reputation as a big-time playmaker as the state of Alabama's all-time leader in receiving yards with 4,672 yards.
But his first three years on the Plains, Zachery mostly sat and watched as AU's offense floundered. He played in just 13 games catching just two passes for 24 yards.
